i let my mind wander over the stream of possibilities while the ripples of distress weaken my will knowing, water that is warm and loving, can become cold and distant leaving me in the shoals,empty and pondering, how some people act with the same indifference that water does which just keeps flowing along in its own comfort assuming that it is a blessing to all, just because it's there which wouldn't be bad if you could partake of them, but both wear a sign that says "No Wading'

lemonade with lemons. Not a bad idea!
What a beautiful photograph!!! This one is more philosophical, choosing the paths to take. Pondering is not such a bad thing if you are pondering what is yet to come.....Enjoyed!
It is true that some people imagine themselves to be as omnipotent as the streams that take their course no matter what tries to lure them from it, the difference being, without water, we will perish; and without love, our lives will be without colors. It is not really about how much someone loves us, as it is about how much we love another, for our sweet and colorful memories come from what we felt in our heart and not from the passing moods and billowing egos of others. We certainly can get over them, but unfortunately they cannot ever get over themselves...and the water will find its way to the end of its journey and have little to show for where it has been. Very nice offering, Eileen.

Your words begin with that which immediately opens the reader up to a great write...and then you invite us to see that too much time sitting on a your own fences, regardless of the fence gets us no where...sink or swim, and spend less time worrying about how you might appear...

For some reason or another this reminded me of Adam Sandler in the movie "Billy Madison", when he says...
"Stop looking at me swan!" LOL!

Your heart is open in this one. A lot of people are afraid of being hurt or used, so they just put up road blocks and signs to keep others away, or at a distance. I have a propensity to be insulated from a lot too because of how I've been wounded in the past. It's not good for the heart to be so insular - we need one another, and we need love and acceptance from one another, irrespective of our short-comings. You Rock!
