In dark pursuit man will choose to walk
Does not seek the better way
Of higher morals people tend to balk
Seek the night instead of day
Until time comes when tongues run out of talk
Nothing of worth left to say
One uses the time twixt twilight and dawn
To gather data for new goals
Hoping to escape what evil has spawned
Subtly trying out new roles
Like the groundkeeper cares for a new lawn
The dreamer tends to his soul
There dwelt within the mans compelling eyes
Mystery of dreams filled with pain
The pigment seemed to deepen them with lies
Made life's illusions nothing gained
When daylight hours lit them with surprise
Prayers for rain to wash away stain
The road ahead though littered with regret
Shows hope not temerity
Relieved with no need to worry or fret
Dreams find new vitality
The time has come for the light to be met
Looking foward to eternity
civilization is transforming ... lets just hope it will survive its sojourn ...there's lots of evolving to do ... maybe mankind will be pulled into a consciousness "wormhole" and accelerate its pursuit of enlightenment ...
This is one to read again and again, and that picture goes so well with it. Such depth, I am glad to have read this today, and will add it to my library to definately read again.
