Such A Beautiful Day

I opened my eyes and was lucky to see,
The birds on the window sill staring at me,
I could hear them singing so loud and clear,
I thanked God above because I could hear.

I opened the window, so I could feel,
The breeze blowing gently, I knew it was real,
I touched the soft feathers, before it flew away,
I thanked God above for such a beautiful day.

I prepared myself for the whole day ahead,
I jsut couldn't waist another moment in bed,
I ran through the door, to see the flowers so real,
And stopped to be thankful because I could feel.

I took a deep breath, could smell rain in the air,
Saw the clouds overhead, but I didn't care,
I felt so lucky, I took time to pray,
I thanked God above for such a beautiful day.

I try not to complain, for things in life everyday,
I accept it as a lesson, not wishing it away,
I just feel so thankful for the gifts from above,
And grateful they're given as a sign of love.

Tomorrow as usual, I jump out of bed,
Be thankful for all, in the words I have said,
I accept all things that come my way,
Be joyful I'm given such a beautiful day.
