Don't Let This Moment End

There are times when we wish things could last forever, instead of what feels like moments. Our hearts long for that special treatment, hoping that they too want the same in return. Sometimes the feeling causes us to smile and sometimes even cry. In the long run just don’t let this moment end, for the day when it is too late to enjoy.

Poem Artwork

Don’t Let This Moment End

Just one touch from you,
I feel the tremor in my bones,
I know that I should walk away,
But we’re here all alone.
The look deep within your eyes,
Says it will be alright,
Don’t let this moment end,
As you hold me close tonight.

A message in my heart,
Says how I want you so,
And I can tell by your smile,
You don’t really want to go,
Searching for that feeling,
That need for oh so long,
If we can satisfy that longing,
How can it be so wrong.

Just one more gentle touch,
How I long for this to be,
Please don’t leave me with this feeling,
I need you so much, can’t you see,
I know the thoughts you’re thinking,
This is not just pretend,
I can feel your wanting too,
Please don’t let this moment end.

Your heart quivers in this write of love and romance just as your mind fights to find an answer in a situation that can only end in pain if your heart is broken. Capture the magic of the moment but yes somewhere sometime in an other place and time will pure love blossom....

alles hat ein ende nur die wurst hat zwei
[all things must come to an end except the sausage which has two]

i like this piece.
i may be reading too much into it but to me it speaks of purity.
wanting to cross lines but not crossing them no matter how hard it is.
knowing that you could justify all the reasons why it wouldnt be a bad thing to be with each other in that way but also knowing that there is something greater than physical gratification...

if i am off course in my understanding i am sorry
but to me this is beautiful.

But all good things must, by necessity come to an end. Thank God even the bad ones. A great poem capturing a moment of deep love that will never be erased from one's memory. Victor
