Just after reading a write that Felix had written on his younger years and it made me laugh and it made me cry and smile but most of all it made me sad. You see there was something missing from my cousin’s life, yes “Me” his cousin from another life and time. How I wish I had been a part of his life and to know him as he was, I knew he was special then for he is so very special to me now. Thank you Felix for filling in the missing years for me.
Looking forward to reading a lot more, keep on writing.
Just An Image Of What Was Meant To Be
When you were young and so far away, I was still part of your life everyday, You lived in a world of your very own, While I lived far away in another home.
We went to all the school dances, Looking for that handsome gal or guy, We’d size them up as they did with us, All acting a little sexy but being rather shy.
We weren’t sure of what they’d want, Didn’t want to spoil our chance, So we’d strut our stuff a little for a while, Hoping for that very special romance.
Time flew by and strangers we were, We were teens in a world of our own, Didn’t take long for adulthood to come, Before we knew it, we weren’t alone.
Married with children, that was all wrong, It failed and tears then filled our heart, We should have known each other back then, Being there for each other from the start.
Here we are today in the same world together, So much we both want to know and see, As I paint this picture so bright and clear, Of just an image of what was meant to be.

Rose, such a nice tribute to your cousin...it's great that the two of you can communicate & be together once again. You've wrote a nice poem here Rose, one I'm sure many will relate...finding someone who has been missing for awhile.
Well I must say I was surprized when I opened this write to review to see my own face staring back at me but when I went on to read what you had to say I was both a little embarassed but also very honored to be thought of so highly of you. Yes we do share so much in common being cousins but raised up in two such different places and by two such different set of parents. It is good though that family bonds grow and strive as years go by. Thank you Rose.

Sometimes it takes time for the "dust to settle" before we can see the beauty of family. I have some cousins that I wish I'd have known better as we were growing up because they are incredible, today - as I'm sure they were then. You and Fee are blessed to have each other in your lives for the rest of your life.
