Each and every year as July 1t. approaches we as Canadians celebrate in a big way how proud we are to be part of Canada. We spend the day with friends and Barbeque and look forward to the everning with Fireworks. Pretty well everyone dresses with their traditional Canada Day T=shirt/ hats and carry a flag of some size. Sharing our pride is what we do best and today I hope you don't mind that I share a bit of it with you.

Proud To Be Canadian

I’m proud to be Canadian,
Willing to share with anyone,
As we look forward to celebrating,
With fireworks, friends and fun.

One day a year we set aside,
To proudly celebrate in fun and song,
A right for all our freedom,
Proud to be Canadian can’t be wrong.

We dress in our red and white,
With pride we hold our heads high,
As we  Celebrate our day,
 We look at our flags high in the sky.

Many have their own meaning,
What Canada means to them alone.
To me it has always been our freedom,
Our love ,our Canadian home to roam.

July the 1st every year,
Is set aside to celebrate,
The pride we have for our Canada,
Our Love, no room for Hate.

Hope you enjoyed your day, Rose. I've spent a lot of time in old Canada, and I've always enjoyed my time in your nation, and the wonderful hospitality of its citizens. You have some magnificent scenery, too!

I love Canada. Traveled across it in '72 after H.S. Wanted to homestead in Northern Quebec, even had land catalogs...but it was not to be. I was surprised I didn't know you lived in Canada. It's vastness intrigues me. Ummm Someday... Northbound!

I love it! Similar to our 4th of July! Patriotism is so important, isn't it? I love Canada as well... thought about moving there awhile back... hope to visit again tho. Great poem...

Beauty, eh? :) Love our neighbors to the north, you've every right to be proud of where you're from! Canada is a wonderful country, have fond memories of my visit there (and one not so, but that's neither here nor there). Beautiful patriotic display, Rose, well done, and HAPPY CANADA DAY!!!!!
