Way back when I was just a little girl, I never realized that as time went by we get older and I never thought the time would come so fast, although I don't feel old when I look in the mirrr I soon see the difference from way back then.

                          Way Back Then

It doesn’t seem that long ago,
When I was oh so young,
I never thought that I’d get old,
As I went on having fun.

I remember when I was a teen,
Dating was my thing,
And at a very young age,
I wore a golden wedding ring.

Then I became a woman,
I saw my choices were all wrong,
I lived a saddened life of misery,
It’s not where I belonged.

Then I made plans for happiness,
Away then I would go,
Live my dreams and find true love,
For one day my heart would glow.

Thank God for my decisions,
For my life it shone so bright,
For everyone deserves happiness,
To make all things turn out right.

Today I still don’t feel that old,
But when I see the greying in my hair,
I realize the years have gone fast,
I’m aging gracefully without fear.

The beauty in what we do is that we can share, with a flair! Somehow our lives, even when it's not so lovely, can sound quite whimsical when we put the words together in a way that flows.... :-) You've come a long way baby... from young girl who made mistakes...to a Rockstar! wow... I love it... lindalaw

Today I still don’t feel that old,

We truly are only as old as we feel, no matter what that old mirror says.
