Dreams Aren't Just Dreams

Are dreams just dreams or are they messages from the past or taking us into the future. Dreams seem to be real and I wonder why. Sometimes I just lay awake and try to figure out the meaning behind some of them for I believe that dreams aren't just dreams.

Dreams Aren’t Just Dreams

Another dream through the night,
appeared before my mind.
Was it a special memory,
Or a message of some kind.

Was I reborn into this world,
Did I live here before?
I need to understand this message,
The dream I can’t ignore.

Strangers stood beside me,
Although familiar in some ways,
They seemed to be part of my life,
On all those special days.

They were there when I was born,
Since then they’ve gone away,
They dressed different in my dream,
Not in this modern day.

Why do I feel I know them,
What makes me shed a tear,
Why do I feel so close to them,
I know one time for me they cared.

I think sometimes it is my life,
Sometimes in my dreams I scream,
Maybe they are special messages,
Maybe Dreams aren’t Just Dreams.

I believe that Dreams are part of our past reaching out to us and part is our future preparing us for what may be ahead. Dreams can also give us great ideas on projects we are about to indulge in. Often we get help with answers to questions we need help with. Great write sis.

Love you sis.

A very precious and loving photograph! Sometimes dreams are not just dreams, sometimes they are pieces of our past long forgotten, sometimes dreams are premonitions of what is yet to come. In any event, dreams are special and clear the fog we once thought was there, beautiful writing.....

Be always safe,
Karen

You hit this one squarely on the head. I've often thought that dreams are a way of reminding us of what was or what will be. Dreams are a wonderful way of coping with whatever is in our sub-conscious. Thanks!

God bless you. Kathy

Good morning Rose... This poem of dreams opens many windows in my house of memories; and I believe dreams can be revealing...can be prophecies...can be just mixed up subconscious jumbles.. However; the discussion of dreams is yet another....and perhaps will never be "decided" unanimously. The poem however is different.. it is unanimous that this is a good work... I like it very much. Now..get some rest and sleep and keep writing! lindalaw

Some dreams become reality, others are just weird occurrences that we don't know where they come from (Grandma said from our belly full of junk food)but when they are nice dreams one wakes up happy! ! !

Dreams are truly fascinating things, and I for one believe some of them do carry messages for us. But learning to read the messages can be quite a challenging task.

Well written and very intuitive, they say dreams are a portal to sub consciou and our subconscious knows a lot more then our conscious so yes I think dreams are more than people believe them to be. They are a part oflife though and I think we are blessed to be able to dream. Hugs from your down home Cuz,
Fee

Beautiful Morning Rose,
We Are All Such Spiritual Beings
Our Hearts & Souls Are Connected I believe In Many Realms of Existence & Experience.
Just Because We Ca't See It Doesn't Mean It Doesn't Exist
Like Air & Radio Waves...we can't see that...but it exists.
I Enjoyed The Reflections Of Your Dream Poem Rose.

Glad you could write about dreams and try to figure out what they mean. No sleep or dreaming for me tonight. Is 3 a.m. already. So came out to computer, found some poetry, am in my glory, and don't need to dream tonight. Yea for me.

Rose,

You're going to keep yourself awake, and miss the dreams, if you keep trying to ponder what they mean LOL - still, a very thought provoking, beautiful poem. Well done, and "Sweet Dreams!" :)

(((HUGS))) and love, Karla.

Dreams fascinate me. They can fill a great emotional need. Did you know that the sewing machine idea was given in a dream -- putting the eye in the other end?
