Living a life alone in the later years, has to be hard as I look at the hard times my husband and I have crossed over to be to where we ar today. I could never imagine my life without him in it.
The Path We Have Chosen October 9,2008

So many twist and turns,
We have travelled through our life,
From that day we walked the isle,
To becoming husband and wife.
How many times we thought,
For better we got worst,
And for the problems we endured,
How we thought that we were cursed.
Yet something kept us together,
At the time we just weren’t sure,
But through all the hurt and pain,
We seemed to find a cure.
Our love proved to be stronger,
Then the pain we felt inside,
The more we talked about it,
Our vows would become our guide.
Today we couldn’t see,
Our lives alone and blue,
We often turn to each other,
Without the other we’d be through.
We have a love that’s stronger,
Then harsh words of long ago,
Till death do us part in each others arms,
It’s where we belong we know.
This is was so reminiscent of my past life...never thinking it would end...but it did... so, it's wonderful to see that you and so many others have taken that road of endurance with the ones you love so much...for however the journey lasts... Wouldn't it be wonderful sometimes if we both could wrap around the other, lay down, and know that this is the end....or the beginning...instead of leaving the other to find his/her own way alone.... but God has His reasons...and so... you do face pain, joy and hardships along the way... and how blessed you are both to still be together... and still in love... wonderful write Rose... lindalaw
Beautiful write and a wonderful story of life and love you have told...I think that those that suffer, endure, and overcome trials and troubles in the beginning are stronger in the end! An encouraging and beautiful write...great picture too!

"For better we got worst" is a great line to describe the short view of our partnership for life. I too cannot count the times, It would have ended, had God given us an easy way out. I could never leave now, as I would worry myself to death over her. I love her so much, it seems that we are as one flesh as God mentioned in Genesis. Great sentiment shared in this poem Rose.
