Found this old picture on the computer and it sorta told me a story about the misery that once lay behind the locked doors.

An Old Entrance Into The Past
February 16,2009
Written by: Rose Marie Rideout

Into the past she scours alone,
Through the old doorways,
Of what she once called home.

Memories of anguish I heard her say,
With things she's chosen to hide,
Things she must forever put away.

There are few things she cherished there,
One the love and protection of an Angel,
Always willing to keep a family from fear.

The door like a locked jail, it’s dark and gray,
Often conveying tears to her tired eyes,
When her mind commence to stray.

A family each with a torn heart,
Overcome with hurt from birth,
Protected by love of an Angel from the start.

An old entrance into the past,
Haunting memories well hidden,
of a curse, that once was cast.

A childhood fear locked away, alone
Buried behind the dark gray door,
An old entrance into the past, once their home.

Great but haunting write sis, and yes the words are so true darlin. Most of the memories are better left in the old house except those from our angel mother and siblings. The rest of the memories can die with the house.

Love you sis,
Selena

I feel an intensity of deep pain here!
With an antique door of choosing,
forgiving won't be losing...
A dark foreboding poem I enjoyed reading!
as I sensed a richness in your writing!

I love this. It is great to look at an old building or a place and wonder what happened inside. You have touched me.

How many entrances to the past are there? Is an Angel guarding us to no let someone go back to haunting memories?
I hear the echoes of a laugh back there and ask myself, from whom?
Very deep and one of your very best!
