Beautiful poem about best friends. You have so eloquently expressed how I feel about my best friend Lynn who lives in St. John's, NF. I am a fellow Newfoundlander,Rose, and it's great to be able to connect with you on this site. Your poetry is lovely! I love the lyrical flow. Great poem,you know there is a small picture frame with backgrounds of flowers and it says "A real friend is the one who walks in when the rest of the world walks out".There maybe a lot of ships that sink,but a friendship will always stay afloat.Its so good to have people in your life that accepts their friends for who they truly are.Someone who can talk to about anything you want without being concern of their judgments of you.I enjoy reading this poem,take care

When the child has no friend, becomes a soldier and buddies fall, then as a sailor no way to weave a fabric of understanding, becoming an old man looking back and knowing that there wasn't no friend left behind, but suddenly his arid garden start to fill with real ones, in flesh and spirit, then and only then, one understand the meaning of friends forever.
