Embracing You Sweet Den Sister...and busy den sister!
I myself am down to the last of my harvesting/canning...
I used to love to sew, knit, crochet...
In all you do...always take a moment for you & that is everyday
even just 5 minutes...to absorb all the love & goodness in you life

How true your poem reads Rose. The busier we are the faster time goes. We all need to slow down and take time to just be and now and than let a day or two just drift. All those "have to's" will get done.

"The times they are a changing..." Mr. Dylan once nasally drawled to a generation of teenagers (us). Yes cuz sometimes it seems like we are sitting in a speeding car doing all the right things...steering breaking, watching for road signs etc etc etc but not knowing where we are going or when we can finally park that old car. Then again maybe we are afraid of what will happen when we pull the keys out...will it ever start again.

It's always difficult to adapt to new surroundings, Rose, but you are doing it one day at a time. I felt the emotional turmoil in your poem very deeply. You are correct though, your AD family is ALWAYS her and we'll offer support and comfort.

We are here, if not in body than in spirit, Rose. Time... I find the older I get the faster time goes. There is so much to do in a new home but even so, the minutes, hours, days, weeks and months go by in the blink of an eye. I have said for years that there are only two days of a year, the Fourth of July and Christmas and for me all between are a complete blur. It does become depressing at times but, truly, other than accepting, time is going to go no matter what you do.

Getting old is a bitch (pardon my French!) When young the days couldn't go away fast enough, now the days go like pulling our fingernails because we know for sure they ain't coming back!

Yes, Rose, we are always here. Beautiful write and somewhat sad, about how time often slips away...that's why it's always so very important to take time to do those things we love best.
