I think of you

I look at the wall
that holds your life
what you’ve worked for
what you’ve given your wife.
I think of who you were before,
Still the man I’ve always adored.
The perfect dad  who seemed to understand,
all life’s big problems and teenagers big demands.
Sharing all you’ve had to give to each as they quickly grew,
Seeing all that was happening, their secrets you knew.
Guiding them all one by one through the years,
Installing in them all strength, no fears.
Respecting them all along the way,
Which again has brought you,
Here where you are today,
A wonderful husband,
