We have all gone through the hard times and some are still dealing with it today. I spent 52 years looking for the light others told me about and finally I found it and I am not taking my eyes of it.

Day’s Long Gone
May 10, 2010
By Rose marie Rideout

I sit here daily thinking of

Old days that’s long gone by,
When I use to sit and wonder,
As I’d wipe the many tears I cried.
I never seem to see that light,
That other’s with us often shared,
Then I seem to cry even more,
That went on for far too many years.

Now I still sit here daily thinking of
Old days that’s long gone by,
Of how our lives have changed,
With the many tears I’ve cried.
Why did those days seem wrong.
Yes I did without but that’s okay,
It’s brought us here where we are ,
To the life we’re living today.

Yes I still cry but they’re not the same,
As I now cry them in Thankful prayer,
Because someone up above looked down,
And showed us that He cared.
I don’t take a single day without,
Thinking of the past,
Searching for that light at the end,
That now forever will last.

What great sentiment in your remembrances of "those" days, Rose. Wasn't easy for parents when they wanted their children to have more; but they were given what they needed, with plenty of love...and that's the key...Love! Ok, so now I'm looking back on my Day's Long Gone. Good one, my friend.

beautiful write Rose,
I too feel that way often wandering through my mind
about that light at the end of the tunnel.......
that light that awaits us all......
Love & peace be with you
