Sitting as I look out at the water and watching the gently waves these words came to me in Victoria, BC.

Feeling you as Near as
 A Breath of Fresh Air

As I sit there in silence,
Alone and feeling lost,
I sence you beside me as
I’m feeling you as near as
A breath of fresh air.
 The tears flow gently on my cheek.
I see the memories of another time,
Another place, when love lived,
Flowing through my thoughts.
Today I’m feeling you as near as
A breath of fresh air
Brushing ever so gently on my face.
I daydream of you touching me,
Kissing me, holding me tightly,
As you have for so many years.
Then I realize as I look at the water,
The waves are as alone as I am, but still,
I’m feeling you as near as
A breath of fresh air.

And you share that "breath of fresh air" so gently, Rose. When we're alone, it's the small, seemingly insignificant happenings that cause our emotions to tingle...and we remember!

this humbles my spirit Rose
these everlasting bounties of love
no matter where are always present
revealing us to appreciate every moment
& cherish our memories of those whom truly
love us with their heart and soul

Perhaps the sea are the only one that have heard my most intimate thoughts and the most painful questions. I never got an answer but it didn't meant that the sea wasn't a good listener...

Ah, Rose, now this does hit close to home for me...many a time I have sat near the ocean and cried as well as meditated on either the loss of someone or just the memory of them that were not there at the time...very good write, young lady...Ed
