Incense perfumes
My office
As I sit staring blankly
At the blinking cursor.
How do I express
The need rising within me?
It comes from a place
Profoundly deep
Within the very core
Of my being.
You smile at me
From the frame
Atop my desk,
Your velvet brown eyes a-twinkle
With the michevious mayhem
I never could resist.
They promise delights
Of every kind,
Spiritual, sensual,
Devil-may-care eyes
In an intriguing, weatherworn
Face.
You are so much more worldly
Than I,
So much more
The teacher.
How I wish you were here
To lead me
Down secret paths
Filled with the wonders
Of passion.
Beautiful touching poetry.
I have a poem on AD called "Snap Shot."
This is such a reminder of the power of pictures, at different times and different places of our lives.
Very well done!
