I'm not normally one for having a temper, maybe because when I get angry it leaves me feeling a bit hung over. This time it may have been justified but I'm still glad I didn't give in to it.

Poem Artwork

Silent and awkward
I face the new day
Not completely healed
From the fury
That consumed me
Just twelve short hours
Ago.
The resentment
And the sadness
That fueled my anger
Still linger,
But they are now
Muted,
Consigned to someplace
Deep inside
Where other hurts
Reside,
Always there
But, perhaps,
Not as potent,
Or at least
Not as evident
In my day to day
Relations
With those who seldom consider
My feelings and beliefs
To be worthy
Of their consideration.

It's good that you didn't strike out, but psychologists tell us that it's not good to withhold feelings because they lead to other problems.e Sometimes we just have to vent anger along with other emotions to free ourselves up from old baggage we carry around. By writing this poem, you are letting a little anger out.

Hey Rebecca,

Good poetic expression! Time is a great healer but ignorance is bliss!

Live like nobody is watching! Have a GREAT life at reach for the sky!

Now, what was that thing that was a bother? Never mind, today is a brand new day!

Peace be with you...

Well written, and what is most important
Is what we feel for our-self, all else is
not important... therefore hold on to what
you feel and believe to be true in your daily
walk...

Omega Factor by John Henning

Take some time to walk outside of your own mind and into another, walk slowly and carefully; the mind that you step on might be your own.
