Eclipsing Other Suns

Art "Sensuality"
By Yentel Holzner

Poem Artwork

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
He entered so quietly, effortlessly
the citadel of my heart.
With only a poetic greeting, a smile,
a fire that I’ve not known the equal of
in all the years that have spanned
our then and now.
He is a blazing sun of passion
and a cool inviting pool of understanding.
He is the unforgettable, the undeniable,
the eternal portrait of love to me.
Unchanging, untouched by the curse of distance
or cruel course of time.
He is man as God intended man to be
the masterful commander of my admiration,
the devoted worshiper of woman
the priest at her altar of divine and carnal love.
His are the words that consume and create
and rewrite the course of my history.
His aura alone eclipses the light of other suns.
The heart never forgets, though the mind
may seek to dislodge the seeds of yearning.
Common sense is no worthy opponent of love.
And so he remains, his presence yet burns
within the citadel, an eternal torch
fueled by my love for him,
unaffected by his absence to the eye or ear.
He is never sufficiently distant
that my soul loses sight of him
or my heart fails to warm in his fire.
His portrait painted with vibrant colors
by the master artist of life,
hangs forever on the walls of my memory.
A canvas of loyalty to the man of your subject, La Belle...third leg easel poetry from the backside...sensuous color wheel palette...he will drop no towel before it's time...buffed poetry...
Exquisite lines, La Belle! So very true, the memory holds the longing and love through the years and nothing can erase that. Lydi**
Just so beautiful, you have described the man every woman wants. But I fear he is but an elusive dream and vanishes with the morning light! LOVE YOU! Sissy
Absolutely breathtaking, Belle... It so reminds me of Shakespeare's Antony and Cleopatra... Ahhh, but that you could be his Egypt! Then he, the Sun, would rise every morning from the heat of your loins! :)) I reckon Cleo might well steal this to rune all over her tomb... and the portrait with it! :)) PS Cute dimples... LOL Kate xx
