to meet the greatness of your soul
though winter is almost upon us
i could give you a touch of spring
the warmth of two spirits yet young
all those lyrics you've forgotten
elusive notes never played could be ours
if i could just be the one
with whom you fully share your heart
i would tenderly cradle it in my own
give you the only thing i have to give
my love and understanding

I agree with Shee, La Belle in that, "Us women nurture, and deeply we must without a doubt!" Caring and nurturing a love from the heart, shows we not only care and nurture, but show our love and affection honestly. This a wonderful poem of love from the heart and soul, like it should be, and if he wants you too, then all is good.

Very yearning cry to let someone let you in. Love is the hardest when you love someone with all your heart, know you could be the best thing for them, know there is no one else in their life yet...they do not see your heart bursting with love for them.

Ahhh, Darlin. Your piercing yet loving voice gets right to the heart of the matter here... that all-important display (or even the merest hint!) of need... even, hopefully, WANT!! Us gals can fortify our nurturing souls even through the toughest emotional droughts... but... just wouldn't it be nice? To have the affirmation that we do not love in vain? Just one little word, one touch, is all it would take. 80% of communication is non-verbal. But even only 1% verbal affirmation to counter the 99% dead-zone would be enough. Guess some blokeys are just not in touch with that of which we perhaps speak of here... the inner essence or soul. And that's just the way it is. Sadly. But enough of my musing. La Belle, you are a mistress of love poems. I know that the hardest of hearts could not stand before you, it could only melt into a puddle at your feet, as well it should. Continue on, the world needs all the love and thoughts of love it can possibly get.
