Sometimes loving you was like lassoing the north wind with a slender cotton thread, or viewing the sun full face in fresh snow without shades. And needing you, that was as useless as a saddle strapped on a buck wild stallion.
What did you want from me? What more could I have given? How long is hot love supposed to simmer before it cools and spoils?
I don’t know what we expected from each other, miracles maybe? I try not to think about it all the time. How do you turn the page? What’s done is done We’ve been over so long and I just feel done in.....
Oh Yes! What the Hell do they want from us? They want it all and never give anythang back in return, after awhile the well runs dry! GREAT WRITE! LOVE YOU! Sissy SC
A piece written from within your heart and soul. All the many emotions consistently woven throughout. Time to pick up the pieces and move on. Fantastic.....

Love does die after so long..
Excellent write La Belle

Great ponderings here. Profound. Yes, just how long can love stay alive when both parties aren't fully vested in the relationship as it sounds here. The page turns slowly. Excellent. Liz
It is often hard to face the reality of love's demise, especially when we believed that the love was meant to be and would be the one to last forever...sometimes though you are right, you have to close the book, put it back on the shelf and take down another.
Sounds like my first marriage. It is sad when it's over. Lucky for me, the NEXT page was incredible!
Thank you for such a wonderful memory

"How do you turn the page?"
As you turn the pages of love denied
And count back to what made it a good ride
The tears dry up and fall onto the ground
You laugh, you spit in the wind, and rebound . . .
Be willing to live ?questionably? dangerous - face the personal risks of satisfaction, success, and adequacy, accepting and valuing ourselves and others, the realities of being human, as well as of embarassment, exposure, and failure - and as Bob Seger says - "Here I am, on the road again - there I am, up on the stage - here I go - playing star again - There I go, turn the page....
Awesome write Belle. As the old saying goes, "Been there. Done that." Love the lines, "Sometimes loving you was like lassoing the north wind with a slender cotton thread," now, that's what I call poetry. BRAVO!
The e-book version of Sam Vaknin's "Malignant Self - Love - Narcissism Revisited". Contains the entire text: essays, frequently asked questions and
appendices regarding pathological narcissism and the Narcissistic Personality Disorder (NPD).

There is time,
like the time it’s taking the clouds
to roll across the dawning down
towards the city
while our skies become imperceptibly brighter
there would be time enough,
right there
to turn clean pages in the dark
to look up
and see the dawn
to look down
and read the art of having loved you

After the rain falls, we sometimes still get that damp soggy feeling. Blessings Always, Paul.
