He is a blazing sun in my heaven
reliable north star by night
glimmering light years away
yet he is always within my view
he is the true measure of a man
the enduring cast of a lover
like the solid moons of jupiter
and the ethereal rings of saturn
my affections continually orbit
around the beauty of his aura
the myriad of my living thoughts
dwell in the caverns of his soul
If poetic words were kisses
I would never need another kiss
for he has wrapped me in a coverlet
woven of scarlet passion’s threads
tenderly named me his “Goddess”
loved me with wild abandonment
he is the coolness of rock solid reason
and the liquid heat of volcanic lust
seasoned man, man for all seasons
gifting me with an immovable love
steady enough to chart a journey
by the fire of the north star

I had just returned from band practice...how fitting as our band's name is "North Star" that I should find this masterpiece awaiting. The fire in your soul emits its heat that I can feel across the miles. Your heart inspires mine to mirror the fragments of love in a sweet reflection of timeless romance that shall not soon diminish.
