Knowing You
By La Belle Rouge

it was good knowing you
sharing your secret thoughts
roaming around in your heart
unlocking every ancient door
and the laughter, oh Sweet Love
the laughter embraced my soul
liberated all my hidden warmth
it was good that nothing ever
stood between us, no deception
no expectation, no pretenses
we wore no masks, face to face
we cried together like children
wounded children in unabashed need
of a hug from arms that wanted
nothing more than to console
it was so good knowing you

you knew all the things about me
i’ve never dared tell another soul
you told me things still unshared
with even those closest to you
intimate treasures of the heart
we plundered them all together
never kept each other at distance
or expected more than was given
i’ve never before desired any man
the way i ached to hold you close
doubt i’ll ever feel that for another
you have a home forever in my heart
and when i think of you i smile
so good knowing you, loving you, always

A photograph that speaks for itself! You have such a way of bringing that heartwarming feeling and spirit to life in all that you write. The emotions tied in just leap off the page in such a steady rhythm.....

Be always safe,

Love's embrace is more than just physical contact. It is how we embrace each other in our hearts and souls; it is how we care for each other that makes love's embrace powerful enough to withstand years of hardship. It is how we mourn the loss of our mate, that makes love's embrace so sentimental, it melts our hearts and the hearts of those around us. And it is how we live with each other, that puts love's embrace in our words and deeds.

This a very sweet write and tribute to love's embrace, that I have read in a long time. Thank you for sharing, Belle.

May the Lord Jesus bless you, and those whom you love, and who may love you, and be with you always, and at your side constantly. With much love in my heart, joy to the world, peace on earth, & ((((((((((MANY WONDERFUL SISTERLY HUGGGGSSSS)))))))))), your little sister, Barbie
