Oh how disheartening this piece is, yet it has a solemnity about it that just grabs the heart and refuses to let go. Very tender emotions, of a time apart, yet each doing their part to somehow get through....
This moved me to tears! War is always Heartbreak Hell, for those that fight and for those who wait. The man or woman who experienced war's Hell never really recover and that is the tragedy of war. LOVE! Sissy
This is your very best write Belle. It screams of the frustration, anger, pain and confusion of wars then and now. The soldiers are not the only victims and the families,wifes, mothers, fathers, sisters brothers and children all are part of any war we engage in.
This pays tribute to the sacrifices made not only by our soldiers, but their loved ones - powerful, La Belle, powerful. As the daughter, sister, niece, cousin of Veterans, as well as a Veteran, myself, thank YOU for remembering.
