i realized today
i don't care what you do in life
or what you think about me
i don't care if you make love to her
how many times or positions
i don't care if the earth moves
or you only go through the motions
i don't care how in love with you she is
or how many poems she writes about it
oh blessed relief, carefree state of mind
since i finally left you behind
i realized today
i honestly, completely, happily
just don't care anymore about you
What a relief when we finally except that it isn't worth wasting our precious time on and can move onto our future happiness. Thank you for sharing a great write.
It is always such a blast of relief when we come to this realization for it is then we realized we have healed and are capable of moving on with our lifes and yes...even loving again.

Good for you. You came to your good senses. Letting go is hard sometimes, but it is for the best what you have left behind. You will go forward to better times in life now. I'll be praying for you. You are such a lovely person and not due for another letdown in your life.

Bravo. It took a lot of pain to arrive at this point in your life and I know it wasn't a fun journey. But now you are free. I remember the pain and then I look at the gain. there has been plenty. OH, I still cry sometimes, but it's more at the wasted time than at the loss? Excellent write for freedom from oppressive betrayal. You go girl. Liz
