Is It So Wrong?
By La Belle Rouge

is it so wrong to love you?
if it is a sin then....
I am a great sinner
for I have no choice
but to love you
the heart goes where
the reason dare not travel
and when the mind is silenced
dreams are swift chariots of love
they transport me
to where you are
those places neither of us inhabit
except in the soft shadows
of dreams, where kisses
still remain so strangely familiar
and dangerously real
is it a sin to love you?
if so.... I am damned

So many have followed your lament. As no danger, in itself, was loving and erotic. A primal pull toward the unknown, the dangerous. It takes courage to enter into such a relationship, and courage to write about it after.

This is TENDERLY beautiful romance as only you can write. So much goes into every line. But in particular, these lines are the most striking for me...
"the reason dare not travel
and when the mind is silenced
dreams are swift chariots of love
they transport me
to where you are"

The sense of commitment is very fine, Belle,
that going for it and to hell with the consequences...and yet your tone is relaxed, gentle and calmly persuasive.

HAUNTING...BITTERLY BEAUTIFUL AND WHAT IS SO REMARKABLE IS THAT WE CANNOT BEGIN TO COUNT THE MEN AND WOMAN THAT ARE, OR, ONCE WERE...SO DAMNED. LINGERING THOUGHTS WITH JUST THE RIGHT MELODY...ALWAYS LABELLE. THANK YOU FOR SHARING. LOVE, BLESSINGS AND FAITH...

It is never a sin to love. I fell in love with reading you 8 years ago. My sin is I can never be with you. I love this poem my Dear Lady.

Belle, you are so right, can you imagine the hearts locked away if it was a crime to love...no it should not be a crime nor sin~

Forbidden desire perhaps a query is it so wrong unearths the answer, Belle. Always, you take us to those emotions of which we ask of ourselves. That's what good poetry can do, make us, your readers query our own hearts. I think this piece comes from the soul mate you have who resides in you from such ancient times. Be well La Belle.

Love Always,
Sage

Wow- I relate too well to these words.
You made me look over my shoulder- in case you were watching.
So- where is this salvation thing?
I will be looking for it- maybe...it is deeper still.
