Now this speaks of harmony between todays men and women, Belle. So-called feminism might sometimes seem to be harsh and hard, denying the womanly 'softer side' whilst also seeking to undermine, castrate and disorientate men. In many minds and emotions (both male and female) confusion reigns. This perspicacious piece brings the two back into balance beautifully and is a wonderful picture of affirmation and renewal where each brings out the best in the other. What we all strive for. I feel that this could be written for someone very close to you. Right down to the "warm molasses oozing." I second Jude on how outstanding this one is… Kudos.

My squeeze's favorite expression is: "I know… Something about you." Every time she says it, I wonder if she knows some very bad, deep down, secret about me. And also, like my helper said the other morning, after stating she was "in with" someone from where I formerly worked, "I know everything about you." It struck me as rather strange that she would say that, since she rarely inquires anything about me. However, the other person she is referring to has probably read my autobiography and therefore does know, "everything," about me. ;-)
