You have described the foundation of a perfect, or at least near perfect, relationship. Beautifully told, I might add. A couple of passages are especially appealing to me...1) l have bloomed like a flower who has pushed her way through thick ice...and...2) when bitter dregs have finally settled and the alluring sweetness prevails. Belle, it doesn't get much better than that.

But the fires of passion are still there and flow easily from your pen.

I must comment on "mellow" wine. While I know it is supposed to be "heart healthy" I have trouble finding red wine mellow. The skins of the grapes that are used to create red wine bring with it their dust, mildew, and rust lending a flavor to the wine that I would describe as "musty." The only way I can get rid of that tangy, mildewy aftertaste is to drink white wine or drink enough wine so that my tastebuds start to indiscriminate and my brain becomes less inhibited. ;-)
