Blind Love they say love is blind.... real love has its eyes wide open there are no walls between souls no veils between hearts that love that which is sightless is counterfeit a weak travesty of false emotion I can only love what I deeply know with an intimate, unobstructed vision I do not love you blindly, no I love you because I know you having seen both sides of your nature knowing you are not angelic or evil having seen each other at our worst neither of us hiding our weaknesses those infirmities become as endearing as our graciousness and strengths I do not love you blindly or feebly I know you, my eyes are wide open to all that you are and can be I see you, the real you, I love you ��

Reminds me of that Humphrey Bogart line, "Here's looking at you kid." Saying so much about really knowing someone else by seeing who they really are. I love the message this poem sends.

An "honest" fulfilling write about love which is perfect. It is perfect because you love knowing the imperfections your lover possesses, but love even those imperfections. Yes! You have described true love big time.

To really love is when two people share completely with no pretenses, no walls or shadows. When two hearts reveal their frailties, fears, hopes and joys and find they are congruent, love will flourish. In love honesty is not only the best policy, it is absolutely essential.
