It matters not to me
that your dark hair turned gray
there's very little copper left in mine
what matters is wisdom, understanding
and the unconditional love we share
not age, wrinkles or gray hair
we may not have as much energy
as we had a few years ago
quiet evenings at home together
are especially precious to me
we don't have to go sightseeing
your smile is all I need to see
once youthful faces are now lined
with many etchings of the years
I think they give us character
lines earned by laughter and tears
the times they continue to change
but our love.... remains the same

A loving and meaningful write, the theme of which I can completely relate to. I am quite sure many others who read your words will feel the same way. Nicely done, Belle. Love, peace, and best wishes to you,
