Around the hearth
where burned the warmth
of a long ago Christmas Eve
my thoughts 'oft choose to linger
when I was young and I believed
That Santa really existed
and reigndeer really could fly
angels singing in Bethlehem
and Mama's chocolate pie
A fine ham and plump turkey
good cheer with a huge feast
with all the fixins and sweets
family gathered from wide and far
wishing upon a shinning star
Long ago Christmas in my thoughts
of feasting, family and fun
I'll read again and believe
the story of the Christ Child
as angels still sing this Christmas Eve

He is the ultimate gift, that money can't buy .Unselfishly He came out of so much love. There is no greater love than a friend lay down his life for another friend... Hallelujah.
YES, CHRISTMAS IS LIKE THAT, NO MATTER WHAT'S GOING ON IN OUR LIVES...IT DRAWS ONE BACK INTO THE ARMS OF FAITH AND PEACE. GREAT SHARING, SO ENJOYED. THANKS, LABELLE AND MERRY CHRISTMAS TO YOU! LOVE, BLESSINGS AND FAITH...HIS+INSPIRATIONS
I will believe in Christmas no matter how old I am. I believe in its magic and how it can bring happiness to a child. Those moments of belief in a child's eyes cannot be recaptured once the magic spell is broken.
Very nicely done, as Christmas Eve draws closer and I wrap up the last of my Santa visits, I look more and more forward to that special Eve and day. With the sudden uprise in Covid cases I know Christmas will be limited again as to visiting and having visitors but I know that it is still Christmas in our hearts. Merry Christmas my friend...enjoy.
