Far And Away
High above in the atmosphere
There were times I sensed my fears
White clouds shuffled by so mellow
The sun appeared to be so yellow
Hew the light on my horizon
There were times, I felt like Zion
Sun swept sands in paradise
Awaited me at my destination
Once I lived beside the sea
Yet, I hath come to visit thee
Sandy shores and dusty planes
Thunder swept and driving rain
Life is hard and so it seems
Australia waited in my dreams
Emotional tides, my hearts monsoon
We arrive at our destination just before the noon
The land I visit seems alien to me
As things are not the same, as they used to be!
The world I left behind was once so humble
Now it seems to be only rubble
Thoughts go out to my native kin
Like a candle blowing in the wind
