TOLT refers to the book The Ode Less Travelled, which inspired my current attack of poetic fever. A Pantoum is quite an old rhyme form that originated in the Far East and was brought to France, where it blossomed and then crossed the channel to England, which is where I found it, dusted it off and set it to work. To understand the form, look at how the lines repeat throughout.

Pantoum for Serenity The dogs lie still: one watchful, one at peace How do they always know which role to take? Between them, shared protection does not cease: One ever guarding for the other�s sake. Too difficult for my blood... I am impressed. :~)
I tried to write an Englyn rhyme but Charlie flunked BOTH of my endeavors. (I think she didn't like the subject matter of my second one... hee, hee, hee...)
