words dropped from his mouth
and
i
the

ever faithful one
the
wide
eyed

apprentice poet
caught
each
one

in a gold inkwell
each
word
was

worthy of worship
yet
i
sinned

when i raised the ink
to
my
lips

and drank thirstily
i
hoped
his

greatness would be mine
that
it
would

transfer to my pen
i
was
wrong

I'll echo Ed, Karla... WOW! You should see the goosebumps on my arm and I finished reading moments ago... they won't go away!

This unbelievably gripping, yet graceful piece of writing is beyond good poetry... it's the stuff that fills the psyche. I say again, WOW! I'm saving this! katy xox
