Thank you for being MY Lights.

Poem Artwork

blinded by my perceptions,
i couldn't see past myself;
i didn't know what i had
until i nearly lost it
in
a
fit
of
madness.
it wasn't my eyeglasses
that were causing the problem;
depression clouded the view,
blackness so terrifying ...
it
pulled
me
into
the deep.
loving hands reached out in prayer,
and cleaned the dirty lenses
that had obscured the Vision
i was rapidly losing
and
brought
it
into
the Light -
and it's you i have to thank;
a miracle has occurred!
i am forever grateful ...
for i can see clearly now.

(c) 2005, Karla Dorman.

I am glad for you. I know that of which you write. In the words of Johnny Nash, "I can see clearly now the rain has gone..." Thank you for sharing this offering, Karla. Amour et paix. Ton ami de la C-B, Régis

That's the spirit, Karla. Don't let the clouds in this life distort reality. You know better than anyone how fortunate, blessed and loved you are. Don't ever forget it!

Karla,

Always there to lend a lens cleaner for one of the pillars of our community. Be true to your heart, it is a light that guides us when others are dim.

Peace and (((Hugs)))

every word of this reverberates from your honest heart. by sharing it, you allow us to see ourselves reflected in your poem about "nearsightedness" and distorted views of self. so very grateful you have a clearer outlook. be well! Dawn

A lovely, heart-swelling paean to nearly losing preciousness, and the ability of humanity's compassion, shown through respect and love, to help to 'clean the dirty lenses that obsure Vision', Poet Karla Dorman, to bring back life and love of Self.

Your Light always shines for those who can See. We all, on occasions, need our Vision cleared, through love and light of others.

Dearest Karla,

What an inspiring poem, often we tend to lose sight Karla, but as long as we realize that we can be brought back into the light, that is the most important aspect. I am so glad that you are back, keep following the light my friend, you are so talented :)

Much love and warmest hugs
your friend Elga
p.s apologies I have been so scarce, trying to find my light :)

This is a awesome write, and I know depression can be very blinding both to blind our eyes to the rest of the world and to blind the world to us. Great write with a great lesson to be learned from it.
