Oh Karla, you've done a good job with this well crafted and heartbreaking write. I've often wondered how so many children and teen agers can disappear and never be heard from again? Are they alive, dead, out of the country or where? One would think that some of the abductees
would somehow return, but very few ever do. Well done, Karla!

As Tinka said below, this IS a sad reality for many. I once had a friend that lost her child aged 12. She was abducted by a well known paedophile in this country 'Gert Van Rooyen'. He was caught by police but ended his life before they could find out what had happened to the 8 little girls that had been abducted by him and his female accomplice, Joey Haarhof. The girls or their remains have never been found and there disappearance remains a mystery. Who can even imagine what their parents went through. I know that Noreen who lost her precious daughter Tracey went through a living hell. I ache to think of this. Thanks for sharing this. It is so important that caring people such as yourself do share to raise awareness. This is a beautiful world but it is also filled with insidious evil and we need to be on guard. Well done!

What a tragic limbo for people to try to survive in. The horror of your child being abducted and the fear that they have been/are being abused or murdered has got to overshadow anything good in life. How do they go on, how do they retain their hope. God bless the children and all who await their return. Very beautifully done, Karla.

Karla, far too many children and even adults end up missing each year with no end in sight. I believe if caught, the perpetrator(s), providing of course there isn’t any shadow of a doubt about their guilt, should be hung in the middle of town square and left to rot! These savages who prey upon little, innocent children, should never be allowed to take another breath or have the opportunity to take someone else’s life! It makes me sick to my stomach when I hear that any child has been abused in any way, shape, or form! The families of these innocent people who have been snatched, must go through an awful lot torment, while hoping and praying that their loved ones be returned unharmed. Unfortunately the known statistics do not support them ever being returned safely back home. The poetry itself it a powerful reminder that we need to clamp down harder on these predators who roam or country, and our planet! It is really incredible that “modern technology” can create something as clear as what a person could resemble even ten years later, yet we cannot keep track of these released prisoners who constantly prey upon innocent people. An extremely heartfelt piece. Thanks for sharing it. Take good care and be well.

Sad days we are living in and we just don't seem to want to do anything about the bastards that are raping and killing the children. Shame of us.

This is a sad reality of life that as a father and grandfather tears my heart out everytime I read or hear of a missing child. Heartwrenching write Karla.
