In everything you do, give thanks.

Don't fret over yesterday's events
or what tomorrow may hold in store;
rejoice in the moment of now.
Be grateful you are as healthy as you are.
You may not be feeling your best, but
someone, somewhere, has it worse--
there, but for the Grace of God, go you.
Be thankful you lived another day;
give thanks to the One who gave you breath;
give honor to Him in thought and deed;
it's the least you could do.
Be grateful for the home you have;
many others make the streets their home
and too many lost theirs this year...
what is your misery compared to theirs?
Be thankful for the food in front of you;
reach out to those who are in need
of nourishment to sustain them another day;
give them hope as well as a full belly.
Be grateful for the loved ones you have;
they may not be perfect, they may annoy
the daylights out of you, but when they're gone,
you'll wish you'd spent more time with them.
And my Thanksgiving is richer because
of having friends like you in my life--

the perfect side dishes of love and support
to accompany this holiday turkey.  LOL
