Poem Artwork

This is the kindness of the sun:  In the morning, it rises with new hope and promise for the day ahead and signals we made it through another long night.  This is the kindness of the sun:  A cat, tail on nose, purrs itself to sleep on a patch of light streaming in through the window.  This is the kindness of the sun:  Old men sit on benches warmed to just the right temperature in the late afternoon, grateful for a bit of relief on stiffened joints and a breath of fresh air.  This is the kindness of the sun:  after a long, trying day, our troubles sink slowly into the west and are erased in a blaze of color.  This is the kindness of the sun.

Karla,
Oh what a glorious sunset. Makes me want to take myself out and find a bench to enjoy it from. (When it warms up in Tx!)
You spin words Karla that not only warms the heart and mind, but gives inspiration to the very soul.

Do you hear how the birds sing praise to the dawn and at sunset are in quiet meditation? Yes, because of the "kindness of the sun"--the giver of life. Wonderful contemplation, Karla!!

Very beautiful, Karla. The verse goes perfectly with the picture and the sentiment reminds us that once today has passed, all that came with it is history and with the rising of the sun comes new hope and a new day to build into something beautiful to recall for all time.
Take care,
Sherry
