While on break at work, saw some kids flying kites...this poem came to mind. Enjoy.

Poem Artwork

Kites,
attached to a string,
soar
into the Heavens;
borne
by uplifting winds
and
the prayers of youngsters,
they
live their dreams of flight
if
only on paper.
Their
imagination
bound
not to the Earth, but
on
the wings of hope that
rise
into azure skies.

At Tybee Island every year there is a kite flying contest. It sounds like your poem here. Kids with smiles for miles and colors darting all over the sky in boxes, circles, dragons....you name it and with a colorful tail ,it was there. Thanks for allowing me to remember this annual event.

Karla~

Childhood memories recalled in simple, pleasing verse. Very well done; brava! Like the kites, you let you let your imagination soar when you look at the world through the poet'e eyes you have and take us along on the journey. Thank you!!

(((HUGS))) and much love, your twin sister, Karen Lynn. :D
