Smile through the storms. :)

Poem Artwork

Liquid sunshine pours
over me until I
am soaked to the skin;
raising hands to sky,
fingering the rays, I
play glorious hymns;
the worries that once
troubled me are lifted
and are clouds no more:
There is cleansing in
its healing balm, no
darkness can prevail.
That is why I am
standing out in the gold
of liquid sunshine.

Yes and now that its not a 100 everyday, we won't mind standing out in it more often!
I was so glad to see the temps cool a bit, and the rain? That was equally as welcome..There just wasn't enough of it!
Good to read you again Karla.

Wonderful imagery and a glorious feeling of hope. It is inspiring and enlightening like the poem by Emma Lazarus titled "STATUE OF LIBERTY

I see this beautiful poetic construct, Dear Karla, as a metaphor for the love of our Heavenly Father.

About the time we want to relinquish our hope to the frustrating pit of despair, the sun breaks through, in power and glory, to remind us that we are loved and cared for, and that Christ has a special plan for us that transcends our momentary suffering.

Stand Strong!
