Color me ...

[Severe thunderstorm image, (c) 2006, Karla Dorman]

Poem Artwork

"Color Me..."

...grey, as grey as the clouds
gather'd outside my window,

I know how they feel.
Feel like cying ......

Official beginning of spring for Ohio is today, and it started with Severe Storm warning. Well done Karla. Stay safe.

Can relate to this intensely, Karla. I think my whole mind and mood-frame is a severe weather-front, ruled by clouds or sunshine, depending on what is peeking through my curtains at the time... Perhaps you could write a poem about rain falling as droplets of sunshine instead, changing direction and floating instead of falling... Anything to re-direct the energies... Sending love, prayers and oodles of fairy dust your way.... :)) xoxoxox

You write delicately Karla, but with such emotional strength too. The two elements seem to meld seamlessly together and always touch this readers heart. You are gifted.

STrong impressionist image created here with the comparison of the storm to your feelings, and yes I do think the weather can compliment and often mimic our feelings or vice versa. Good one Karla.

You've done a great job here, Karla, the personification works so well! An excellent poem and description.

For Karla:

Don't be sorry if you ever feel gray,
because gray is the color of
the ashes of loves past,
gray is the color of the brain,
gray is the color when is the black
the one that you don't want.

Hold there...

Tears, they say, must sometimes fall just like rain,
But once they have fallen, sunshine will come again.

Karla,

I am sorry you are feeling as grey as the clouds; here's hoping that sunshine soon streams your way! Powerful pen of tumultuous emotions; may the storms of life soon go away! You are in my prayers today, Dear Karla! BRAVA!

(((HUGS))) and much love, your twin sister, Karen Lynn. :( >tears! <
