Can you tell I didn't win? 'Course, can't play if you don't have the money ... siiggghhhh.

Trying not to be green with envy, but try living on what I do: can we say waaaay below the poverty line? Not fair ...

Megaball'd:  million
dollar dreams hop'd for,
play'd, easily lost
for the gullible
queu'd in line to win:

Hell freezing over,
lightning, better odds ...

Check your luck only once a year, that way, you won't loose to much money and are still in the game, if that what exites you! an explanation from my own experience, out of fifteen of my employes, there was one who won 95% of the tickets in a period of ten years, what does that tell you! Sounds like my own true confession; better said by you. (Sadly, I'm below the poverty line 2 yet always find a $1 or two for this nonsense)

Karla I believe everyone should be equal in this world, but it doesn't work that way, but after raising a family of five and only one paycheck coming in for all those years, I soon learnt that you only gamble money you are willing to lose. Take care.

You sure got THAT right! Tell you what, forget the LOTTO. We should move to Nigeria so we can do the N-File scams and rake in the dough from all the world! Yeppers. Nice one (as always) Karla!

It may not be fair, but fairness has nothing to do with it . . .

No the frustration of the dieting wallet all too well, and even though at first glance at your title thought this was going to be an erotic write, (just kidding) it still brought a smile to my face for that is all we can do and they can't tax us on smiles.

I used to gamble my dollars on the Florida lottery, but I found I was making someone else wealthy and making me poor. My gambling days are over.

True odds are tough...but all are odds in life. Hope gambled for...

even...the small wins...we sometimes recognize the large win...is in what we already have.

The only time I won anything was when I was in the first grade. I won a jar of jelly beans for guessing how many were in it. I had instant friends until the candy ran out. Love ya, Holly

I'm going up the mountain to Cripple Creek tomorrow...I'll throw in a silver dollar in the slots for you two girls and chant "For the special K twins! Seven wins!" Have a whiskey, too...burros roam the streets, on Bennett Avenue where I keep a year-round room when I visit, upstairs in the hotel above Midnight Rose which was the old-day brothel - oh, the stories that pour from that room I so love, my monogrammed whiskey shot glass in the bedside drawer with Gideon's Bible...Madam Pearl DeVere speaks to me...been to her tombstone many times at the Cripple Creek Cemetery...I'll let you know what I hit for you two - I know your memberships are about to expire...

Love Always,
Sage

Karla~

Watch out for those renegade lightning bolts...LOL

Sad when the poor are so desperate to change their cicumstances they play what little hard-earned money they have to green somebody else's pockets. This is one reason why I don't even bother; I have a better shot of being hit by a bus. LOL Very well done; brava! I feel your frustration.

(((HUGS))) and much love, your twin, Karen Lynn. :(

I force myself not to think about it then come up with ways to deal more effectively with what I have. At least that's what I do on the good days:-) Enjoyed the read.
