Do watch racing some Sundays with my cousin at her house and her grandson age 9 loves it and knows all the drivers and their car numbers. They entertain him very well. My granddaughter is a fan too. She loves Dale Ernhart,JR. and has her sr. photo with him in background. She graduated last evening. We give her gifts at Christmas of racing etc. Even clothes.

Never been to a NASCAR race, but have been stuck in the traffic aftermath. Sunday fun. Lots of cheers and beers.

Karla--both my boys have worked TX Speedway and it is truly additive. And the tailgaters are better than any football game. The people, the sounds, the foods....

Yes and what a race it was. My man Jimmie and Mat had my heart palpitating and my fingernails chewed off to the knuckles but what a fantastic fight those two put up. Great sport in deed...now run Jimmie run

I love the sound of the motor speedway..I grew up going to the car races. It is definitely in your blood, and so glad that you have a family in them.

I can feel the pride and sense of belonging in your poem. I think you are probably right about the sense of family when a group is together for a common cause. There is always a feeling of rapport and friendliness. Good write, Karla.
