I love sunflower seeds. :)

Poem Artwork

The sun is a seed
blooming happiness,
negating the clouds,
outside.  Inside, where
it counts, it's lovely -
delightful bursts of
bright yellow goodness,
warming the tummy.  :)

Karla,
very original and well written. I grew the flowers one year. They grew taller than me and they were beautiful to see. Hugs:)

I love that the yellow warms the tummy-- good line. If you could melt it down a little bit, it would make a sensational haiku. If you can't fit it all in there, maybe a quatrain (a four-liner) or maybe a tanka (5-7-5-7-7, unrhymed). Take care. --Charlie

I love the first line "the sun is a seed..." This sent my imagination soaring, thinking of the many worlds it may make blossom with the warmth of its inner core. Good effort, Karla.

You have inverted the sunflower into the image of the sun...beautifully done.
