It would be nice if all the monies
allocated for Veterans were spent
on Veterans. Most of it was, but some
was spent on movies, hotels, Las Vegas
casinos or shopping sprees for employees
instead of Veterans who could have benefitted
from all of it instead of just a portion. Those who
have served our nation deserve nothing but the best ...
Some individuals have no apprecition for the gallantry of every single soldier that has served in the United States military. Failing to realize that without their sacrifices, we would not be living in the land of the free. Pity, how small things occupy small minds when matters of greatness elude them. I agree one hundred per cent. To know a veteran personally makes one realize just how much these poor men have given, and more importantly, how much they deserve. What they must suffer and bear with their disabilities makes them heroes far greater than just the act of going into battle. I know a young man who is slowly dying because of Agent Orange and my heart cries for him.
Agreed and those responsible should be charged and prosecuted to full extent of law...good sentence would be to send them to Iraq and have them permanently on point.
Perhaps we should move our Vietnam Black Wall to the front of the Congress Building and force all those ninny senators to go around it everyday and get they complacent asses in gear once and for all.

There have been many worthwhile commissions establish for the needy of disasters in this country and other countries of the world whose funds have been misappropriated. A more stringent control has to be established and overseen by honest caring people. So sad when it comes down to, "what's in it for me attitudes." Peace, Love and Blessings Always, Paul.
The misuse of funds within our government is nothing new unfortunately. A sad state of affairs indeed for a government by the people (?) for the people.

clearly stated with affection, concern and love of your country and its veterans. funds are misappropriated everywhere in the world but veterans´funds and those monies that go to child welfare should be spent wisely.
So true Karla! The sad fact is that no one can be trusted anymore. It has become a huge problem knowing whom to believe in our present
culture. it's as if people think if everyone cheats why not me.! The bible forecasts these times of mistrust and confusion.so we'd best be prepared.Excellent write!...ET
It is sad, and those who do this ought to be thrown in jail with the key thrown away!! Nothing but the best for our veterans; they definitely deserve better treatment than this!! Such a shame!!

I didn't know this...yes these funds were misappropriated!! The very men and women that risk their lives for our freedom are getting the shaft! Thanks for reminding us all that all veterans deserve to be treated with respect and get their fair share !!
