Poem Artwork

... depends on how you look at it:
what may be cold to you may not
be cold to another.  Or hot or wet
or dry or...a matter of attitude, of
choosing to see whether or not
the glass is half-empty or half-full
--- up to you.  There are rainbows
to envision after the darkness of
storm; silvered linings behind the
clouds; counting what you have
instead of what you don't.  Stop
moping around and letting things
get you down.  Life far too short:
enjoy it.  others have it worse ...

Right on. You stress this perfectly. Something to think about: I have never met a homeless person who spent his energy envying anyone for what they possessed. Everything he needs is in those two plastic bags. We would say that "he has nothing" but he will tell you differently. He will tell you that he has what he needs and, if he had more things, he would have a problem lugging them around. In many ways, he is more sensible (and more serene) than most suburbanites. And he is less prone to ulcers. Attitude is everything.

I love those ice-photos you've been running. So pretty :-)

Thank you Karla for your words of wisdom as I always think, when I am having a bad day, I think of those who are having it so much harder. I am indeed blessed.

Beauty is in the eyes of the beholders. Someone once sent me an angry e-mail told me that I always write about rainbows and ponies. She said she and others live in the real world. She said it as if I don't live in the real world, only she does; and this person told me I am here in the den making everyone miserable, and that it's better for me to leave as well.

Is it a sin that I only see beauties in the world? Shouldn't I write about beauties since we can see all the pains on the news already?? Why should I go into it further to write about pains? Why shouldn't I write about ponies and rainbows??? Why is it wrong to write about these things???

I see what I see, I feel what I feel; and if there's a child inside me who wants to write about cotton candies, ponies, and rainbows, why shouldn't I write about these things? Why is it that this person feels that I'm making others' lives miserable in the den when I'm only me and giving out my opinion as I valid my own opinions????

Why did this person thinks it's better for me to leave the den?????

Sorry I'm borrowing your post to vent about this person.

Karma Bank to Following By Listening by Chiemi

These song lyrics and art are tales, tides and twinkling lights - tunes telling stories of warmth and sun, city and sand, paths that lead, and the coins we can keep in the Karma Bank. Spirit's been bypassed for sorrow, dreaming of a better tomorrow .
