There is truly lessons in this for all of us..how one can one be so cruel...we need to wake up and smell the roses...Susan is a beautiful soul inside and out! Her voice an angelic gift from God!

Thanks for reading and responding to my article. After your reply I had to come here and check your poem out.
It is a wonderful tribute to a woman who has touched the hearts of all who have watched her. She's certainly shattered all the preconceived ideas of both the judges and that audience. I have always hated the fact that the world so often seems to idolize primped-up, plastic people and put them up on pedestals. When I watched Susan sing, she was transformed from a plain woman into a beautiful one and my tears flowed freely.
It's a lesson to us all to see the beauty within. In her case it shines through.

Her story intrigues me...and her singing is incredible. Her words make me wonder what she must have gone through in her life to feel that she had no respect...whatever it is... I feel for her and am thrilled that she has this opportunity to share her God-given talent. I heard she already has record companies asking her to sign...Wahoo!

I hope everyone visits the site from your link or on their own, Karla. This woman is amazing. I love your poem too. Probably the only thing I love more than good poetry is a good song well sung. Lol! Loved that! They judged her from the get-go and did you see the dreamy look on Simon's face when he heard her sing?! That was worth any price of admission. Susan's got a fantastic voice. Just goes to show that assumptions are dangerous and damaging to the human spirit. Thank you, Karla. Made my day!
