There were no others --- the rest
had been defeated; it was down
to these two teams. The Colts
pawed the earth, ready to fight; the
Saints stared back with courage
in their eyes, up for the challenge.
Both sides proved they belonged
here; it was a hard fought game;
the score could have gone either
way. Neither was willing to settle
for second best, but in the end,
only one could win --- 'Ain'ts' no
more. Super Bowl Champions!

I don't follow American Foot ball as it is played differently to Canadian foot ball, with 4 downs rather than 3. Glad your team won though. Well written. Hugs, J'nia
Great pic and poem Karla! "Who dat" will never be forgotten! Neither team is my favorite, but because of Katrina I was for the Saints, and I think many were for that reason alone, But they stole my heart with their game it was great!
In the first quarter the Saints were playing like yahoos without a head and a direction. Then OMG, 1 down and goal(throw right, a boomer) 2 down and goal(throw right, a boomer)3 down and goal(throw right, a boomer)with two Saints receiver stranded, alone, inside Touch Down zone!!! my heart couldn't get more down, it was under my left foot when number 22 went like a weasel through and was running and pointing and laughing all the way to the blue field with the white lettering saying Colts. The rest is history.
Go Saints go!!!
Quite a game, and with all that good old New Orleans has gone through in the last several years, I think they truly deserved some Good News, and some Cheer, for a change.
I am soooo glad the Saints won; they deserved it after all they've had to go through! Wonderful tribute to the Super Bowl Champions of 2010! Surprised we have a voice left (or you a toe, after you dropped your t-fer on it! *OW!* LOL)! Well done, Karla; brava!
