this world only looks more insane when we read the liberal media that makes it worse,we need to hold onto the truth of God's words and hope and pray He sees us through it all! It sure can be overwhelming as you say, so well,Karla!
There is undoubtedly much perversion and tragedy in our sadly warping world, Karla, but then, that's what gets reported cos it sells and fascinates - so just how maladjusted ARE we for that to be the truth of the matter? But, the little-advertised and reported flipside that is goodness, truth, justice, nobility... and all the rest of the loving, out-of-fashion words that could be used to describe such acts, still are happening one-on-one and that is all we can hold on to. As Mother Teresa always said, the ocean is made out of many drops and every droplet counts as/to someone! The world may be barmy, but you and me is good, no?! Well, at least some of the time, anyways... !! :)) Love the way you always tell it like it is, and then some. Let's hope that the more "they" legislate against love and hope, the more they will be displayed in the simple acts person to person that will never be denied. Write on! xx
Yes, there is a lot of "sad" in the world, but a lot of times it's where we focus our attention...I, like Fee, prefer to see the glass half full...we're here and we either enjoy the ride and try to change what it is we don't like...or we see the glass as half empty and live our lives in misery. Anyway! You have written this well, Karla and cleverly!
Karla, although sometimes the world seems to have gone to hell in a hand basket...the fact is sadly the bad news always takes precedent over the wonderful things in life...like a new born baby, a grandchild running up and jumping into my arms, two young teenagers who discover love for the first time, a senior citizen who is loved and gives love...flowers in the spring, Christmas trees and puppy dogs. Perhaps I am rambling or maybe I prefer to see the glass half filled but we all have so much to be thnakful for if we take the time to take stock.

So true and, how sad to see so many homeless people in Washington. The American dream. Yes we can? What is happening to America? It's heart breaking. The kindest folk are American, well Texan, lol, more than the other states I worked in. I fear for our cousin over the pond.
We read in the Bible that in the last days, the love of many will wax cold. We are seeing that today, sad to say. Powerfully and sadly penned, Karla; very well written! And that piccy looks menacing!

This is masterful!! I love this. Your writing delivered with surgical precision. I feel like this many a time. Yes, I read about the stampede in Duisberg. They used to hold the Lovefest in Berlin every summer, then moved it. I guess thousands of people were trying to fit through a tunnel and were trampled to death. Yes, the news is depressing. But isn't it always? One truth I've found for me is that whatever I happen to be thinking about gets bigger. Know what I mean? Excellent piece.
