can bend only so far
before breaking.  give and
give and give until i
can't give anymore.  been
building a long time, this
thunderstorm in my head -----
the winds of resentment
and anger about to
blow me away.  i will
never measure up to
standards of perfection,
what friends should be ----- always
my fault, my fault, my fault.
tired of always having
to apologize, tired
of being made to feel
like i'm the bad one here.

You obviously need to run for political office. Then it's NEVER your fault! Patrick

Why do you even worry? You know you are good person, now smile and be proud...

Be always safe,

Because we are all human, we tend to sometimes get on each others nerves and often the little things that are not addressed and confronted that build up to be the major disruptions to a friendship...maybe

Judging by the comments, you obviously have some dear and caring friends here at AD and I would like to be counted as one. Standards of perfection are subjective, and true friendship means never having to say sorry.

May blessings and sunshine come your way Karla,
David

Karla,

You shouldn't put yourself down so. I pray you come out of this depression soon. You are a wonderful lady, writer and friend, don't let anyone ever tell you different!

Hey do I have to come down there and beat your butt...I KNOW you know better than to believe this, it must just be the extreme heat and just a build up of negative feelings...go to a church, kneel down and scream at the Lord, yes AT Him, He will understand your frustration and help you to remedy it...you are as always in my prayers, dear one...ED

You have put the perfect words to your frustration. Every year my New Year's Resolution is to not fret about the things I can't control. It's a work in progess always. We can NOT control the feelings of others, just how we react to them. Learning to love yourself is more important than the opinion of others.

we can't control people, places, things. all you need to worry about is keeping your own side of the street clean. resentments are just left-over anger reheated for dinner. but the food sucks, if you know what i mean. just detach with love. it's all any of us can do. take care. wonderful writing, as always. you're very talented.

Powerful emotions here, Karla; let it all out, and don't hold back! Maybe it's best you stay away from your friend; she obviously doesn't appreciate you. I know I do! And I love you ... always have, always will!

(((HUGS))) and much love, your twin, Karen Lynn. :( *tears!*

Praying hard for you today ...

Karla, let it out my friend. Assessing self blame is a difficult road to travel. We all tend to be far too critical of ourselves. Start to smile from down deep within that beautiful heart of yours and let it build until covers your face with joy. Banish the frowns and critical thoughts. May joy, love and peace overwhelm you my dear friend. Jon Michael
