Humbled by greatness ...

Poem Artwork

Our cruise ship was big.  Really
big.  But Alaska showed she
was in charge.  She rose above
in majestic height over
our heads.  Humbled by greatness,
we could only look up as
she passed by our balcony.

We thought the interior
of the ship was beautiful.
It was, but nothing compared
to God's display of mountain
and glacier, Northern Lights and
Autumn colors:  Alaska
painted beauty on our eyes.

We breathed her into our lungs
as she imprinted herself
on our souls.  Twin sister and
I fell in love:  something we'll
be talking about for a
long time to come as we dream
of our next Alaskan cruise ...

Wow! This gives me something to look forward too. Yes, we are planning on a cruise to Alaska to see God's wonders. In the meantime, I just came from a banquet in which Mike Huckabee was the keynote speaker. This was the message I learned from his speech, "Life today is like driving a fast train. If you concentrate too much on what is behind you you will miss the blessings that are in front of you. Even worse than that, you may even steer a bright future right off the tracks." Amen!

Peace, love and blessings to you both,

John Michael Domino

I love how you were inspired by this journey. My favorite line out of all of this was "We breathed her into our lungs
as she imprinted herself on our souls".

Your take on the cruise made it extra-special to read. I'll send this to my friend who recently took a cruise to Alaska.
I'm glad I caught this one!

Hugs,
Connie
